Hebden Bridge Centre
This walk is around the centre of Hebden Bridge. Starting at the 500 year old Hebden Bridge, you will progress past those things that aren’t there anymore and others that remain, but have changed. These include the Buttress, the old Fire Station, St Georges Square, old wells, Commercial Street, Garden Street, the Marina and the shops on Market Street and Bridge Lanes. Start and Finish
The walk starts at the White Swan pub on Bridgegate and finishes at the Fox and Goose pub at the top of Bridge Lanes. The walk meanders around the centre of Hebden Bridge crossing over the old bridge, past the market, into the square, past the white Lion pub and up the cobbles to Birchcliffe, then down to Commercial Street, through Garden Street car park, over New Road to the marina and up Market Street and Bridge Lanes to the bottom of Heptonstall Road.

This walk reflects many peoples remembrances of life in the past including family life, town history and the shops.
The walk is about a mile and will take up to an hour if you linger in the shops.
The walk is nearly flat except for a few inclines. There are a few areas of cobbles.
